Cate, M.A., Ed.S., LEP Licensed Educational Psychologist
Cate is a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) dedicated to supporting children, teens, and their families through a client-centered, strengths-based lens. She holds both a Master’s and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology from Tufts University, and currently serves as a full-time school psychologist for at a middle school outside of Boston, MA.
With years of experience across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings in the Greater Boston Area, Cate has a particular passion for supporting middle school-aged youth. She specializes in helping young people navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other mental health challenges by integrating evidence-based practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
As a passionate advocate for LGBTQIA+ youth, Cate draws on her extensive experience supporting children and teens to provide a brave space for families to land.
Beyond her direct work with youth, she is a trusted consultant for caregivers navigating the complex special education process and offers targeted support and education through personalized parent coaching.
As a Licensed Educational Psychologist I bring my school based lens into the private practice setting.
